On a Macintosh, the SSID is not manually entered but rather selected from a list. The Macintosh detects the SSID for the Access Point and allows the guest to choose the appropriate one.

The first step in connecting via a Wi-Fi card on a Macintosh is to select the correct network adapter. To do this, click on the Apple and go to the "Control Panel," then go down and select "TCP/IP." On this screen, you will need to set the "Connect Via" option to your wireless (AirPort) card.

To do this, click the down arrow on the menu and select your Wi-Fi (AirPort) card. Also make sure that the menu option for "Configure:" is set to "Using DHCP Server." Then close the window and save the settings when prompted.

Now you need to set the wireless card to use the bluestreak SSID: "bluestreak" (case-sensitive, without the quotes). To proceed with this operation, Click on the Apple menu and choose "AirPort."

Now you should see a window where the appropriate SSID can be selected. Look in the "AirPort Network" section and there will be a menu labeled "Choose Network." From this menu, select "bluestreak" (without the quotes). Then close the window and save the settings if prompted to do so. You should now be connected. Open a Web browser and go to a public Web site, such as www.msn.com, to bring up the SedTech Welcome Page and complete the connection process.
